This is a focused billing support role ideal for a seasoned billing professional looking for</p> <p>flexible, meaningful contract or part-time work alongside their existing employment. You will play a key role in</p> <p>maintaining LivWell’s revenue cycle health and ensuring payer compliance across our behavioral health service lines.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul><li>Submit commercial insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Monitor claim status and proactively resolve denials, rejections, and unpaid claims.</li><li>Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed prior to or following service delivery.</li><li>Post insurance payments and reconcile accounts.</li><li>Communicate directly with insurance companies regarding claim issues and discrepancies.</li><li>Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and payer guidelines.</li><li>Assist with patient billing questions related to commercial insurance coverage.</li><li>Ensure ongoing compliance with payer guidelines and applicable billing regulations.</li></ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul><li>Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience, with direct experience in commercial insurance claims.</li><li>Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or outpatient healthcare billing strongly preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with behavioral health CPT codes and common commercial payers (Optum Behavioral Health, Carelon, Magellan, Evernorth, UHC, BCBS, Aetna).</li><li>Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements.</li><li>Proficiency in medical billing software and EHR/EMR systems.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.</li><li>Relevant certification (CPB, CPC, or similar) a plus.</li></ul> <p><strong>Compensation: </strong>$22 - $26 hourly, depending on experience</p> <p><strong>Employment Type: </strong>Part-time (1099 contract or W-2 part-time considered)</p>
