Position Overview We are hiring a full-time Account Manager – Real World Evidence Data Science professional to join our expanding remote team. This role reports directly to the Director of Clinical Data Science at arenaflex and operates within our Scientific Issues group. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating high-quality Real World Evidence (RWE) through advanced analytical techniques and innovative methodologies within the clinical trials domain. Beyond technical analysis, this position carries a strong client-facing component, making it ideal for someone who enjoys combining scientific rigor with strategic account management. The base pay for this position ranges from $20 to $30 per hour, depending on experience, education, and demonstrated expertise. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week remote opportunity based out of North Carolina, USA, with flexibility to support work-life balance and professional productivity. Key Responsibilities Data Mining and Preparation Mine raw, complex datasets to deliver standardized, analysis-ready patient cohorts from in-house data assets and licensed platforms. Analyze and interpret results to help shape the overall analytical strategy for ongoing projects. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with members of the arenaflex Clinical Trials team to deliver meaningful insights derived from real-world, clinical, and complementary data sources. These insights will directly support biopharmaceutical RWE initiatives and clinical trial requests. Healthcare Analytics Projects Lead and contribute to analyses covering unmet medical needs, safety and effectiveness of treatments in specific disease states, treatment patterns, healthcare economic burden assessments, and cost-effectiveness modeling efforts. Data Curation and Governance Clean, transform, and store data into an organized data lake, ensuring it is ready for future analysis and accessible to broader team members across arenaflex. Statistical Analysis Perform data mining and advanced statistical analysis on RWE and RWD sources to uncover new insights about patient populations, treatment outcomes, and emerging healthcare trends. Platform Development Support the development of real-world data analytics and platform capabilities, applying advanced analytical methods and tools to address scientific questions from biopharmaceutical partners. Outcomes Research Collaborate on the design and execution of outcomes research studies, ensuring methodological rigor and scientific validity throughout the process. Quality Assurance Ensure high-quality, comprehensive, and readily interpretable deliverables from RWE studies and analyses, maintaining the scientific standards that arenaflex is known for. Dashboard and Reporting Build dashboards, analytical tools, and reports for both internal stakeholders and external clients, transforming complex data into accessible visualizations and narratives. Vendor Evaluation Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective real-world data providers and vendors, and drive RWD quality assessments to inform strategic sourcing and investment decisions at arenaflex. Client Account Management Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing expectations, communicating findings, and ensuring the delivery of high-impact analytical solutions that meet client needs. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, systems engineering, biomedical engineering, or a closely related quantitative field. Experience in designing and executing robust, reproducible statistical analyses within the context of epidemiology and observational research using healthcare data. Working knowledge of common statistical testing methods, including generalized linear models, classification and discrimination techniques, decision trees, unsupervised learning approaches, time series analysis, and survival analysis. Demonstrated experience handling large datasets drawn from multiple disparate sources. Experience working with protected patient health information in a compliant and ethical manner. Proficiency in at least one of the following business intelligence or analytics tools Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or comparable platforms. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable business insights for non-technical audiences. Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams. Preferred Qualifications PhD or Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, systems engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline. Mastery of electronic medical records (EMR), health information technology systems, disease registries, and insurance claims databases. Deep expertise in clinical data standards, clinical terminologies, and controlled vocabularies commonly used in healthcare data and ontologies, including ICD-9, ICD-10, and Read Code. Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and familiarity with regulatory compliance guidelines governing real-world evidence analyses or clinical trials, such as ISO, MDD/MDR, and CFR standards. Experience working with alternative data sources and non-traditional methods of clinical data collection, particularly those enabled by emerging technology platforms and innovative arrangements. Background in experimental design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data analysis, and computational statistics. Solid understanding of statistical and machine learning methodologies, with a demonstrated ability to continuously self-learn both technical and non-technical skills. Prior account management experience in a healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences context is highly desirable.
