Job Summary

Flipkart is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Supply Chain Planner to join our dynamic logistics and operations team. This role is pivotal in aligning supply with demand by managing forecasts, inventory planning, and logistics coordination across multiple fulfillment centers. As a key player in our end-to-end supply chain ecosystem, you will contribute to building a resilient and agile supply network that supports millions of customer deliveries across India. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage short-term and long-term demand forecasting models using historical data, seasonality, and market trends.

  • Collaborate with procurement, category managers, warehouse teams, and last-mile delivery partners to ensure inventory levels align with forecasted demand.

  • Monitor inventory turnover, stock replenishment cycles, and product availability across supply nodes.

  • Optimize routing, warehousing, and fulfillment strategies to reduce turnaround time and cost per delivery.

  • Track and analyze supply chain KPIs such as forecast accuracy, fill rates, service levels, and logistics cost efficiency.

  • Manage supply planning tools and systems to automate and streamline forecasting and planning processes.

  • Support business continuity and risk mitigation by creating contingency supply plans during peak seasons or disruptions.

  • Provide analytical support for supply chain initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

  • Lead cross-functional reviews on supply-demand balance, flag risks, and propose actionable resolutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain concepts including inventory planning, demand forecasting, and logistics coordination.

  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data modeling) and experience with planning software such as SAP APO, Oracle, JDA, or similar platforms.

  • Solid grounding in analytics and data interpretation with an ability to draw insights and influence decisions.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or logistics roles (e-commerce, FMCG, or retail sector preferred).

  • Prior experience managing supply chain during large-scale events or seasonal peaks is an added advantage.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday | 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM IST

  • Flexibility required during major sales events or business-critical launches.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations and logistics best practices.

  • Strong numerical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

  • Detail-oriented with a high sense of accountability and ownership.

  • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
