Job Summary:

IndiGo Airline is seeking dedicated, responsible, and customer-focused individuals to join our Ground Staff team as part of the AO&CS (Airport Operations & Customer Services) division. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth handling of passengers at various airport touchpoints, including check-in, security, and boarding. You will be the face of IndiGo, delivering exceptional customer service while strictly adhering to security procedures and airline protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate passenger check-in, baggage processing, and boarding in an efficient and friendly manner.

  • Ensure compliance with aviation security procedures at the airport terminal and boarding gate.

  • Conduct passenger profiling, document verification, and resolve any issues related to travel documentation.

  • Assist customers with boarding passes, seat allocations, and special service requests.

  • Maintain effective coordination with CISF, airport authorities, and internal departments for smooth flight operations.

  • Monitor boarding activities and assist with gate announcements and last-minute changes.

  • Escort unaccompanied minors, passengers requiring assistance, and VIP travelers as needed.

  • Handle irate or distressed passengers with calmness and professionalism, following IndiGos customer-first approach.

  • Ensure adherence to all safety, security, and quality standards as prescribed by DGCA and IndiGo SOPs.

  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to daily operations and security checks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualification: 10+2 or Graduation from a recognized board or university.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.

  • Well-groomed with a pleasing personality and confident body language.

  • Ability to handle passenger queries and complaints effectively.

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and common software (MS Office, DCS preferred).

  • Must be physically fit with no visible tattoos and able to stand for long periods.

  • Candidates must possess a positive attitude and willingness to work in rotational shifts.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service.

Experience:

  • Fresher candidates are welcome.

  • Prior experience in airport ground handling, customer service, or aviation will be an added advantage.

Working Hours:

  • Rotational shifts including weekends, holidays, and night shifts as per flight schedules.

  • 6-day working week with weekly off based on roster planning.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with airport operations and standard boarding procedures.

  • Understanding of airline security policies and baggage handling rules.

  • Calm under pressure and able to handle high passenger volumes during peak hours.

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
