Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist – Patient Data Entry professional to join our healthcare support team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will be responsible for managing front-desk operations, accurately entering patient information, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all visitors. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, possesses excellent communication skills, and is passionate about patient care and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients in a warm and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.

  • Register new patients and update existing patient records accurately in the medical system.

  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments and follow-ups.

  • Collect and verify insurance details and necessary documentation.

  • Handle patient inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic information about clinic services.

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to support seamless patient flow.

  • Assist with basic billing tasks, co-payment collection, and report generation.

  • Keep the reception area tidy and stocked with necessary supplies and forms.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in medical administration is a plus.

  • Proficient in using healthcare management software and data entry tools.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.

  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Experience

Working Hours

  • Occasional weekend shifts or extended hours may be required based on clinic needs.
