Job Summary

IndiGo Airline is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Officer – AO&CS (Catering & Service Coordination) to oversee seamless coordination between catering vendors, ground staff, and in-flight crew. This role is vital to ensuring the timely and accurate loading of meals, beverages, and other cabin services in line with flight schedules and safety standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate agility, precision, and excellent communication skills to maintain IndiGos high standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily catering operations for scheduled flights, ensuring on-time delivery and quality compliance.

  • Liaise with catering vendors, flight dispatch, crew scheduling, and cabin crew to ensure accurate provisioning.

  • Monitor and verify the loading/unloading of catering items as per manifest and aircraft configuration.

  • Conduct quality checks and ensure hygiene and safety protocols are met at all touchpoints.

  • Report discrepancies related to catering supplies, shortfalls, or non-compliance issues to relevant stakeholders.

  • Maintain documentation for audit, billing, and inventory tracking purposes.

  • Support catering uplift during flight disruptions or last-minute changes.

  • Ensure secure handling of special meal requests, VIP catering, and crew meals in coordination with flight planning.

  • Promote cost-effective usage of supplies without compromising quality.

  • Foster a collaborative environment with internal departments such as Security, AO&CS, and Engineering for smooth ramp operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate in any stream from a recognized university (preferably with a background in Hospitality, Aviation, or Logistics).

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a high-pressure airport environment.

  • Excellent communication in English and Hindi (both verbal and written).

  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic knowledge of airline catering software systems.

  • Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in airline catering coordination, ground operations, hospitality logistics, or related roles.

  • Freshers with relevant academic qualifications and a passion for aviation may also apply.

Working Hours

  • Rotational shifts covering 24x7 operations

  • 6-day work week (1 rotational weekly off)

  • Flexibility required during flight delays or peak season schedules

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of airline catering procedures, logistics coordination, and HACCP standards

  • Ability to remain calm and make timely decisions under pressure

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tight turnaround times

  • Interpersonal skills to coordinate with multi-functional teams and vendors

  • Awareness of safety and security protocols around catering vehicles and apron area
