Serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking after-hours care, and assist them in navigating the healthcare system. Accurately register and schedule patients for appointments, collecting and verifying all necessary information. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient process. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Follow established protocols for handling urgent and emergency situations, and escalate as necessary. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and appropriate patient care. Keep accurate records of patient interactions, appointments, and other relevant information. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures in order to provide the best possible care to patients. Uphold the mission and values of Ascension Health, with a special focus on serving vulnerable populations. Attend trainings and meetings to stay updated on policies, procedures, and best practices. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and understanding towards patients and their families. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
