This Department is responsible for the full spectrum of warhead, fuzing, and propulsion designs/technology, including power systems, ignition, and all other weapon initiation safety systems technology. An individual in this role will be expected to work with a product team and functional subject matter experts to develop architectures, top level design concepts, requirements, and manage production efforts for a variety of one shots devices (i.e. initiators, gas generators, pyroswitches, explosive bolts).</p><p></p><p><u><b>This position is an remote role.</b></u></p><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do</b></p><ul><li>Complex problem solving</li><li>Responsible for technical execution of tasks</li><li>Commitment to program schedule and budget</li><li>Technical oversight of our power source batteries and/or one shot development programs</li><li>You will ensure two-way communication management; serve as the day-to-day liaison to the programs concerning resource technical assignments</li><li>Contribute to technology development roadmaps</li><li>Support failure analysis and corrective action through redesign of failed power source or one shot device components or systems</li><li>Present power source and/or one shot device design models and supporting analyses/test results to internal and customer review meetings</li><li>Support proposals requiring one shots technologies</li><li>Support development of Critical Item Development Specifications (CIDS)</li><li>Oversee fact-finding and contract negotiations</li><li>Test data reduction</li><li>Ensure technical rigor and depth of all deliverables</li><li>Must be willing to travel to suppliers and government facilities</li><li>Proposal and cost preparation, requirements definition, and one shot device subsystems analysis, test and verification; operational test support; supplier collaboration</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualification You Must Have</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience</li><li>A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in power sources / one shots / engineering technology and/or engineering design</li><li>Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.​ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance​</li></ul><p>                                                                                </p><p><b>Qualifications We Prefer</b></p><ul><li>Advanced degree</li><li>Ten (10) or more years of directly related experience in energetic, fuze, or propulsive devices and their applications</li><li>Directly related experience in one shots subsystems design, development, and test</li><li>Experience in working with and managing suppliers</li><li>Supplier collaboration experience and oversight generating specifications and statements of work (SOW)</li><li>Working knowledge or experience with either missile design or development, production support and integration</li><li>Experience with DoD customers and/or associated contractor executives and technical leadership</li><li>Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance (Department of Defense)</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Learn More & Apply Now!</b></p><p>RTX Corporation is an Aerospace and Defense company that provides advanced systems and services for commercial, military and government customers worldwide.
