<h2>About JerseySTEM</h2> <p><strong>All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.</strong>JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.</p> <p>Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a <strong>minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week </strong>and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.</p> <h2>Overview</h2> <p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>JerseySTEM provides free after school STEM classes to underserved middle school girls grade 5-8.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are actively seeking a dedicated <strong>Google Gsuite System Admin </strong>(TECH.GWS) to join our TECH Department. This is a pro-bono volunteer position that plays a vital role in managing and optimizing our Google Workspace environment, ensuring seamless digital operations for our organization.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Collaborate with the TECH team to ensure Google Workspace aligns with organizational needs.</li> <li>Ability to write, test, and deploy custom scripts using Google Apps Script (GAS) or Python (via Google Cloud Platform) to automate repetitive administrative requests.</li> <li>Utilize Google Workspace Admin Console alongside Google Apps Manager (GAM) to execute bulk operations and directory modifications</li> <li>Act as the internal subject matter expert, collecting user feedback and collaborating with Google Workspace support to resolve technical limitations</li> <li>Responsible for user accounts, security settings, and applications.</li> <li>Implement best practices for user provisioning, data security, and system performance.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Google Workspace.</li> <li>Stay informed about Google Workspace updates and new features.</li> <li>Train and support users in leveraging Google Workspace tools effectively.</li> <li>Assist with the integration of Google Workspace with other JerseySTEM systems.</li> <li>Participate in virtual team meetings to align on objectives and initiatives.</li> <li>6 hours per week, 6 month commitment</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Google Workspace administration and tools.</li> <li>Experience and familiarity with deploying generative AI in a non profit setting.</li> <li>Understanding of Gemini AI features, data confidentiality, and compliance management.</li> <li>Resourceful problem-solver with a can-do attitude.</li> <li>Experience with Google Workspace security and compliance.</li> <li>Knowledge of single sign-on (SSO) and account provisioning.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.</li> <li>Comfortable working in a virtual organization using digital tools.</li> <li>Commitment to JerseySTEM's mission of providing STEM education to underserved middle school girls.</li> </ul>
