And that's where you come in:</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">As the Technical Project Manager (Implementation Consultant), you will serve Instructure’s customers by fulfilling both project management and technical consultation responsibilities.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>Summary of Role</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">This position combines <strong>project management</strong> and <strong>technical consulting</strong> for software implementation projects, particularly SaaS platforms. The role ensures that projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and meet client expectations while providing expert </p><p style="min-height:1.5em">guidance on system integrations, configurations, and data migrations.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>Core Project Management Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Initiation & Planning:</strong> Gather requirements, define roles and responsibilities, develop project charters, schedules, communication plans, and risk mitigation strategies.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Execution:</strong> Oversee project delivery, manage stakeholder expectations, allocate resources, coordinate third parties, and control scope, schedule, and cost changes.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Monitoring & Controlling:</strong> Track performance against time and budget, report progress to internal and external stakeholders, and maintain project documentation.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Closure:</strong> Obtain client sign-off, finalize documentation, and lead post-project retrospectives for process improvement.</p></li></ul><h2><strong>Technical Consultation Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Implement and configure technical integrations for SaaS platforms — including <strong>SSO</strong>, APIs, data systems (HRIS, SIS, etc.), user roles, and permissions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Advise clients on <strong>content migration</strong>, <strong>LTI app setup</strong>, and <strong>customization using JavaScript or CSS</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design solutions to enhance <strong>AI-driven efficiencies</strong>, maintain technical documentation, and help clients leverage APIs effectively.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support customers with <strong>technical planning</strong> and configuration, and participate in internal projects driving team improvement and innovation.</p></li></ul><h2><strong>About You</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience designing and documenting SaaS integrations and solutions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with identity provider systems and API integration.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proficiency with online collaboration tools (Google Suite, web conferencing).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proven ability to prioritize tasks based on timeline and business impact.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Programming knowledge (any language) would be highly advantageous.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Get in on all the awesome at Instructure!</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We offer competitive, meaningful benefits in every country where we operate.
