Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques.
  • Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction through attentive service and personalized attention.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments, and provide correct change or receipts.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, reset tables quickly, and assist with bussing to uphold sanitation standards and a tidy environment.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable enhances efficiency in order processing and sales tracking.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest relations professionally.
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential.
  • Experience in serving or host/hostess roles provides a solid foundation for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management are necessary.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while managing time during busy hours ensures smooth restaurant operations.
