Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a talented and creative YouTube Video Editor to join our content production team on a part-time freelance basis. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw video content into engaging, high-quality videos optimized for YouTube. Key Responsibilities

  • Edit raw footage into compelling YouTube videos that align with brand guidelines and content strategy.

  • Incorporate graphics, sound effects, transitions, subtitles, and animations to enhance viewer engagement.

  • Ensure video pacing, tone, and visuals support storytelling objectives and audience retention.

  • Collaborate closely with the content team to understand the narrative, tone, and messaging goals of each video.

  • Maintain awareness of current YouTube trends and implement strategies to improve click-through and watch time.

  • Organize and manage media assets for efficient editing and archiving.

  • Revise edits based on feedback in a timely manner while maintaining creative integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar video editing software.

  • Strong understanding of YouTube content formats, video SEO, thumbnails, and retention strategies.

  • Creative eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and transitions.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Basic knowledge of audio enhancement, color correction, and video compression for YouTube.

  • Attention to detail with a commitment to quality.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in video editing, preferably for YouTube or other social platforms.

  • A portfolio showcasing past video editing work is mandatory with your application.

  • Experience working with influencers, brands, or YouTube channels is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Part-Time: Approximately 10–20 hours per week

  • Flexible scheduling – work at your own pace, as long as deadlines are met
