Compensation $110,000-$130,000 Location Hybrid – Omaha, NE or Remote – United States The job As the Principal Onboarding Manager at Buildertrend, you will lead the most complex and high-impact customer implementations, helping top builders transform how they run their business. Your work ensures customers see value quickly, adopt with confidence, and grow with our platform over time. You will guide executive stakeholders, shape onboarding strategy, and influence how we serve our most strategic accounts. As a trusted authority on the team, you will also serve to elevate other Onboarding Managers, sharing methodologies and elevating overall onboarding standards. Within your first year, success looks like faster time-to-value, strong customer outcomes, and a measurable lift in adoption and retention across your portfolio. What you will do Own onboarding for top-tier and named accounts from kickoff through value realization. Design and lead tailored onboarding plans, including complex configurations and data migrations. Facilitate executive workshops, training sessions, and on-site engagements that drive adoption. Partner with account management to identify and support expansion opportunities. Mentor onboarding peers and share best practices across the team. Document customer progress and insights using internal tools to ensure smooth handoffs. Partner with internal teams and occasionally travel domestically to ensure a seamless, value-driven onboarding experience. Embrace using AI as a tool to enhance your work, while remaining open to learning, applying critical thinking, and owning the quality of your final work. Who you are and what you need 6+ years of SaaS customer onboarding, implementation, or similar project management experience required. Bachelor’s degree required. Construction industry experience is a strong plus. Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder engagements. Strong executive communication skills and the ability to simplify technical concepts. Proven experience managing multiple projects with structured implementation methods. Skilled in data migration, system configuration, and tools like Salesforce or Gainsight.
