Job Description The Sr Technical Payroll Analyst salaried position can sit in any of our US office locations, or be full-time remote and reports to the Payroll System & Tax Manager. You will support various payroll configurations, for administration of the US Payroll operations, accuracy of the payroll system data to deliver the company's semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls and supporting analytics. This position will also be a key employee resource for payroll system upgrades and will perform other related duties as required. You Will: • Support UKG Pro core and US time and attendance system • Test new release, functional system enhancements, and integrations, including testing new earnings and deductions set up • Configure new locations and taxation within system including registering for state/local for new locations • Monitor integration error and any resolutions handling • Provide payroll analytics servicing all Payroll reporting requests from various departments or external • Provide various reports to the operations team to reconcile payroll • Partner with other Senior Analyst and Sr Global Payroll Manager on the implementation of new technology to streamline Payroll Processing US and Global • Collaborate with multiple business teams (i.e. HR, HRops, Accounting, Equity and Business Systems) • Identify and participate in process improvement projects, including various implementation and upgrades • Document and maintain Payroll Standard Operating Procedure • Work closely with the Payroll Analysts to provide excellent customer service to our employees and business partners • Work with internal teams and vendors to ensure HR, Benefits and Payroll changes are processed, accurate funding occurs for all accounts, tax remittance, general ledger balancing, month-end close support is completed in a timely manner • Manage service request with payroll provider • Assist Sr Global Payroll Manager with annual audits (I.e. 401k , Worker's Comp, SOX audit) • Support the payroll accounting team with Month end reconciliation research • Participate in various payroll projects and other opportunities as assigned Qualifications You Have: • Minimum 5+ years' experience in US payroll system administration • Minimum of 4 years of UKG experience • Strong understanding of Payroll integrations • Proficient in MS Excel including advanced formulas functions (Vlookups, Pivot tables, IF statements) • 4+ years of payroll experience and knowledgeable of wage and hourly laws including state and local taxes • Strong analytical-report writer experience. Preference for candidates with experience with Cognos Business Intelligence (BI) software within UKG. • Experience with HRIS/Payroll database design, structure, functions, and processes, and experience with database tools • Knowledge of SOX controls • Experience maintaining confidentiality to payroll and other employee personal information Additional Information Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
