Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our fully remote team. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare individual and small business tax returns accurately and efficiently. • Review financial documents, such as income statements and expense reports, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and explain tax-related matters clearly. • Maximize client tax benefits by identifying eligible deductions and credits. • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of client data. Qualifications: • At least 2 years of experience in tax preparation or related field (minimum of 2 tax seasons). • Proficiency with UltraTax software is required. • Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). • Proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. • Experience with tax preparation software and strong computer skills. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during tax season. Preferred Qualifications: • Certification as an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA is a plus. • Experience working with diverse client profiles, including small business owners. • Multilingual abilities are a bonus but not required. Schedule & Work Environment: • Fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office. • Minimum of 20 hours per week, with additional hours available based on workload and availability.
