The Department: Acquisition & Activation Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll work with a cross-functional team of web, mobile, and backend engineers to help solve complex problems that will directly influence the direction of the digital asset space. As part of this role, you’ll help drive customer experience improvements to set us apart in the industry and build a world-class crypto exchange. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of high-quality features on the Gemini platform, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers. Architect and build efficient, reusable UI components and solutions that are reliable, performant, and maintainable. Review and provide constructive feedback on code written by other engineers, ensuring correctness, style consistency, and security best practices. Own and drive the DevOps lifecycle for products, ensuring high-quality delivery and maintenance throughout the product’s lifetime. Provide technical leadership and guidance during the planning, design, and requirements phases for new products and features. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the team. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience building consumer-facing web applications at scale. Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and deep experience with React.js. Experience integrating and interacting with content management systems (CMS) like Contentful and Builder.io. In-depth knowledge of web best practices, with a proactive approach to staying informed about industry innovations. Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, with a demonstrated ability to influence design and product decisions. Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and time zones, managing dependencies and guiding projects to successful outcomes. A customer and product-focused mindset, capable of making well-reasoned tradeoffs between speed and quality. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple competing tasks effectively, with a focus on delivering high-impact solutions. Preferred Qualifications Expertise in unit and integration testing, with a strong emphasis on ensuring code quality. Experience using performance analysis tools to optimize frontend performance. A track record of influencing product decisions through data-driven insights. Experience working with experimentation frameworks and tools. Experience integrating and maintaining analytics tools and events. Familiarity with crypto products as a user, with a strong interest in the space. Experience with mobile development using React Native or interest in learning.
