BGM delivers superior market access and investment outcomes through: Deep expertise spanning investment insight, markets, risk management, and platform design Embedded technology capabilities driving scale, resilience, and innovation Industry leadership focused on transparency, accessibility, and cost efficiency for investors The ETF Platform team is responsible for the end-to-end design, evolution, and scalability of the ETF operating model, enabling innovation across the ETF value chain and positioning BlackRock as the market leader in ETFs. We are seeking to hire an ETF Product Developer responsible for delivering on iShares product development pipeline. This will involve enhancing our existing products as well as developing new creation and redemption processes, considering market ecosystem demands, controlling operational and investment risk in the support of new, sophisticated, and innovative ETF products that deliver precise performance outcome in the context of increasing complexity. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of securities markets, investment products, and portfolio construction. Leading these critical initiatives involves working across cross-functional partner teams internally including Product Solutions, Portfolio Management, ETF Capital Markets, ETF Servicing, Investment Operations, Legal and Compliance as well as externally with ETF Service Providers. Additionally, the role includes regular communication with management on the implementation of new ETF launches and product enhancements. A passion for improving investor outcomes is essential!

Responsibilities

  • Project manage product changes and the launch of new ETFs
  • Solve problems, build solutions and drive forward strategic priorities
  • Ability to learn quickly, grasp technical content and a strong communicator with an ability to synthesize sophisticated topics to a broad set of partners
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail, being able to prioritize between multiple initiatives to meet competing timelines
  • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities that lower the risk of errors and increase efficiency
  • Build strong relationships across the organization by listening carefully to our partner teams and working hard to deliver for the firm
  • Develop deep understanding of our existing range and opportunities for our ETF products

Requirements

  • Experience in financial services including ETF product development, investment operations or risk management
  • Experience in leading projects and building relationships with partners and a passion for delivering service excellence
  • High intellectual curiosity, an understanding of different asset classes, including equity, fixed income and commodities, with an ability to learn and apply
  • Detail and outcome oriented with strong planning, project management and organizational skills. Able to manage and control multiple priorities to meet timelines
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to function well under time pressure
  • Self-motivated, can work effectively, both, independently and as part of a team
  • Strong business judgment and decision-making with integrity and emotional intelligence
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication. Confident and comfortable liaising at all levels.
