Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. is a subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Corporation, focused on distributing recreational products in Canada. The Marketing Associate will oversee marketing projects for various marine product lines, manage budgets, and support initiatives to grow the Yamaha brand in the Canadian market. Responsibilities Oversee marketing projects for Outboard, Sport Boat and WaveRunner product lines and accessories, including promotional materials, content development and event support Support Yamaha’s OEM, commercial and government initiatives Grow the Yamaha brand in Canada through influencers, boat builders and industry stakeholders Evaluate marketing ROI and recommend actions Manage budgets for marine sponsorship, promotion and public relations for products, rigging and accessories Partner with product planning, accessories, sales and technical teams to align marketing with positioning and sales priorities Communicate strategies and results to the broader marketing team and key stakeholders, and model Accelerate Together values daily Develop and produce corporate and dealer showroom promotional materials for print, TV, radio and/or digital platforms, including opportunities for cross promotion to expand Yamaha’s presence in the market Develop and produce marine content to support digital marketing efforts and marketing campaigns, promoting products, rigging, accessories, lifestyle and experiences Work closely with the Marine OEM & Special Markets sales team to develop Yamaha’s strategy to ensure it is well represented with OEM, commercial and government partners, as well as identify opportunities to grow this area of the business Develop content and marketing materials in support of these efforts Manage media, influencer and industry outreach, including creation and distribution of news releases, coordination of product testing, and planning of media events Provide recommendations on partners and deliverables to ensure business value and marketing impact Work with events associate on consumer shows and corporate events, including unit logistics support Plan and administer annual marketing budget(s) for Outboard, Sport Boat and WaveRunner (products & accessories) Skills Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma, University preferred Program of Study Marketing, journalism, communications or related 1-5 Years of Experience Marine experience required; marketing experience preferred A comprehensive understanding of the industry and our customer Understanding of marketing concepts and experience with managing digital media and other marketing communication channels Outstanding time management, organization and communication skills Proficient in business and creative writing, specifically copywriting Ability to multi-task and work independently with a high degree of initiative Excellent in MS Office and basic understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud, social media savvy Outgoing personality Bilingualism in French/English an asset Benefits 100% employer‑paid health and dental benefits Employee assistance program Corporate bonus incentive + sales bonus (for applicable roles) RRSP with employer DPSP match (up to 5% of base salary) Employee‑paid STD, LTD, and life/dependent insurance Parental/maternal leave top‑up programs Product experience/engagement events Employee recognition program (Accelerate Together) Educational assistance Employee product purchase and rental program perks Kando‑driven corporate culture, recognized as a top GTA employer Company Overview Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. is an innovative and dynamic player in the motorsport and marine industry.
