Sr Technical Specialist, Emerging Solutions, Water

Job Requisition ID # 26WD97468 Position Overview Based in the UK, Autodesk is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Specialist in water to act as a technical subject matter expert assisting new sales growth of our operational analytics, asset management and modelling technologies across the EMEA region. This role will lead the technical aspects of Autodesk Water solution engagements and support sales specialists in directly engaging with clients. Engagements will require in-depth industry, practitioner and software knowledge to uncover customer business challenges and suggest improvements, showcasing solution workflows and technical capabilities to position the value of Autodesk Water. You will report to the Senior Manager, Water, EMEA. We offer hybrid contracts with no minimum office days. Responsibilities - Collaborate with Autodesk Water Product Sales Specialists and other members of the Autodesk and Autodesk Solution Provider sales teams to validate customer success plans and help execute on strategy/tactics for closing business and driving expansion - Develop the required level of knowledge of customers' business processes, workflows, and technical requirements to build "trusted advisor" relationships with customers - Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the business processes, technology trends, and workflows within the water domain, to provide insight and guidance required to position the value of current and new Autodesk solutions - Demonstrate thought leadership to the customer to differentiate Autodesk and gain acceptance that Autodesk is a long-term solution provider - Happy to lead or facilitate discovery workshops of varying sizes to help uncover business issues/drivers/initiatives and use this information to help connect with Autodesk Water solutions to deliver business outcome value - Leverage Autodesk Water software and services together with other resources to develop innovative solutions that satisfy technical, fiscal and schedule constraints within the customer's business - Collaborate with sales teams as a technical subject matter expert to optimise pipeline and sales - Manage and deliver technical presentations, solution demonstrations and "pilot" projects to enable customers through technical validation - Responsible for aligning with key customer stakeholders to secure business and technical closure of the proposed solution - Provide technical validation and assess feasibility, correctness and completeness of proposed solutions, applying best practices in solving business problems - Develop and maintain trusted working relationships with the sales team and adjacent business resources, such as sales management, consulting, business development, global technical sales, and marketing - Influence Water's product development and product direction through customer feedback and identified business opportunities - Shares best practices, competitive information, innovation, and thought leadership within the sales organisation, product divisions, and technical sales organisation locally and globally Minimum Qualifications - 8+ years of experience working in the UK Water Sector - Business fluency in English - Engineering degree and or equivalent certification - Practical experience applying operational analytics and asset management solutions within water and wastewater utility environments - Strong knowledge of hydraulic modelling specific tools - Practical experience in the use of Autodesk Water solutions such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoDrainage highly valued - Experience in supporting and or collaborating with sales teams, ideally in a technical sales role in the hydrologic/hydraulic engineering Software/SaaS solution space - Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all levels of organisations Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Salesforce is valuable - Additional European language (Spanish preferred) #LI-SH1 Learn More About Autodesk Welcome to Autodesk!
