About the role

M.E.I. Consultants Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Melaka. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects, contributing to the successful delivery of our client's objectives.

What you'll be doing

(a) Liaison with Clients, M.E.I.’s Penang office, other Consultants. if any, works Contractors and Sub-

contractors on project requirements.

(b) Engineering coordination and lead a construction team full time at site to supervise all fabrication,

erection, installation or construction of engineering works.

(c) Overall construction management include but not limited to the following areas:-

  • Schedule development and control;
  • Cost control;
  • Change control;
  • Technical interfacing;
  • QAQC and Safety control;
  • Conduct site meetings, reporting and project progress reporting on a weekly and monthly basis;
  • Promote team building and communication; and,
  • Contract administration;
  • Liaison with local authorities, clients, architect, engineers, and works contractors on project requirements; and
  • Any other projects or assignments the Company deems necessary to complete.

(d) Meeting and satisfying client requirements and expectation as a competence Senior Site Project Manager.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager or in a similar construction role
  • One (1) vacancy available
  • Immediate starters are highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively
