Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Own the overall business model and create strategic roadmap for the digital learning services business, leveraging on Pelangi’s rich content bank, customer network and Malaysia Digital status.
  • Team Management: Synchronise and drive the progress in both product development and marketing activities. Full oversight of the division.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: High-level negotiation with tech partners and potential B2B collaborators (e.g., Ministry of Education, telecommunications companies for data bundling).
  • Data-Driven Reporting: Monitor and report key metrics of the business, ensuring healthy growth and high quality services being delivered
  • Budget Oversight: Manage the division’s budget, ensuring efficient spend across tech development and marketing ads

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 2-5 years in digital leadership, ideally with experience in scaling a digital product user base.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the Malaysian education landscape and the subscription (SaaS) economy.
  • Bridge Builder: Proven ability to work with "traditional" stakeholders (Editorial/Print) while leading "agile" digital teams.
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science/Business is preferred, but a track record of successful digital launches is the priority.
  • Knowledge or experience of MDEC’s Malaysia Digital (MD) initiative is a significant advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
