Core Responsibilities / Duties

1. Data Processing, Setup &

  • Support

  • Perform setup, configuration, maintenance and support of data processing and transformation activities.
  • Supporting Data Acquisition, Client Services Team, Travel Management company and client with complex setup (ability to work with XML, csv, Excel)

2. Data Loads, Transformation &

  • Monitoring

  • Create data loads, data transformation rules and configurations required for data processing and transfers to multiple systems; monitor the successful execution of these transfers and investigate issues.
  • Analyze and improve existing transactional data loading processes and Global reporting.
  • Plan, develop and implement data models to support ETL and Global Reporting requirements.

3. Data Validation, Quality &

  • Troubleshooting

  • Analyze and validate data using T-SQL to ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity.
  • Analyze and validate data and find ways to improve the data quality
  • Perform complex data mining, research and correction for transactional lifecycle.
  • Troubleshooting data that would have fail to capture in tracker or fail to deliver to our server

4. Reporting &

  • Data Analysis

  • Create Company standard, customized and ad-hoc reports according to Clients requests.
  • Provide expertise in analysis, design and creation of complex reports and problem resolution.

Improvement &

  • Master Data Management

  • Provide subject matter expertise and assist in implementation of the new internal processes and technology enhancements for master data management and reporting functionality.
  • Review and analyze presented business requirements and provide recommendation for improvements or alternative approach for Master Data management tasks.

Collaboration &

  • Communication

  • Collaborate with internal and external client to analyze problems and find a solutions
  • Liaise with other IT / Client Services groups to enhance the existing Data processing / reporting functionality. Serve as a subject matter expert on data transformation and Global reporting functionality.

  • Training

  • Provide training for new hires on existing ETL processes, reporting and system maintenance tasks.
  • As a Subject Matter Expert in Travel Data and educate the travel management company to send data in the correct manner

Key Competencies

  • Knowledge of Global Distribution Systems used for by Travel reservation systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply / recommend advanced solutions and issue handling processes.
  • Knowledge of MS Server, SSIS, SQL
    • Solid knowledge of relational databases.

  • Knowledge of AWSservices such as storage and databases.
  • Experience using ETL tools including Data Quality components.
  • Analytical skills and ability to set up and monitor data loads.
  • Experience with setup, testing, documentation, end-user analysis and design specifications.
  • Provide expertise in analysis, design and creation of complex reports and problem resolution.
  • Requirements

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related discipline preferred

    Experience:

    • 5+ years of MS Server, SSIS, SQL desired
    • 5+ years of experience working with data loads and transformation
    • 5+ years of experience in developing data intensive ad-hoc reporting desired
    • Global Distribution System (GDS) experience preferred

    • Ability to use a methodology and process for requirements gathering and development
    • Strong written & oral communication skills
    • Self-starter with strong motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Strong task management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple high-priority projects
