Department Direction &

  • Expansion

  • Strategize the direction of the department after the analysis of the market trend and demand.
  • Implementation of the business plan upon approval from the management team.
  • Increase the market share by acquiring new clientele base through conducting marketing and promotional events, seminars and social media marketing.
  • Recruit business partners such as the commission Futures Broker Representative (ComFBR) for business development.

Management &

  • Operational Coordination

  • Manage a team of individuals through fostering a collaborative team environment, with a strong focus on strengthening knowledge within the team and growing individuals in their career.
  • Study the current operational processes to identify the weaknesses, later streamline the processes to improve the inter-departmental efficiencies.
  • Conduct or collaborate marketing and promotional events, educational events and seminars.

Liaison with the regulators, Business Vendors &

  • Partners, Management and Compliance to Rules

  • Represent company in attending the meetings and events of the regulators and associations such as Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission and Malaysian Futures Brokers Association (MFBA).
  • Attend monthly Management Task Force Meeting and Board Meeting to update on the department progress and new business opportunities.
  • Adopt new trading system and platform whenever necessary by exploring new vendors.
  • Overseeing all the businesses under Derivatives not limiting to local and foreign products to ensure all compliance and trading procedures are adhered to.

Product Development (Derivatives)

  • Collaborate with senior management to identify new product opportunities based on market research, customer feedback and business objectives.
  • To plan, develop, implement and launch new products.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must at least possess a bachelor degree in any field.
  • At least 5 years of trading & sales experience in the local & foreign derivatives market.
  • Candidate should possess a minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role or have previously served as the head of the derivatives department.
  • Candidate must possess a valid Capital Markets Services Representative’s License (CMSRL).
  • Candidate must pass the SC Licensing Examination Module 14 &
    • Module 16.

  • Candidate is encouraged to show track record of their trading portfolio.
  • It will be an added advantage if candidate can provide a business development plan.
  • This position mandates that candidate engage in continuous learning for skill enhancement, demonstrating self-motivation, and fostering a positive atmosphere.
