Lead, Enterprise Operations (NOC Tier 1 Network support)

Overview As the Manager for Enterprise Operations for our NOC Tier 1 network support team, you will support and assist with the design, architecture, implementation, security of large multi-site, multi-vendor MPLS network communication environments.

The Role

  • Manage and implement complex network projects.
  • Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and MasterCard networks, as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.
  • Resolves network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally.
  • Participates in telecommunications-related initiatives.
  • Research and develop innovative solutions around unified network solutions.
  • Supports assigned regional projects, which include responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation.
  • Supports Vendor management.
  • NOTE: This is not a people manager role but a Lead role which involves mentoring responsibilities in guiding the members on the team to ensure successful resolutions of complex network issues and escalations.
All About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience will be preferred.
  • Minimally 5 years of overall IT experience in the following areas: - Networking, including LAN/WAN - Firewalls - wireless - Security and encryption technologies
  • Experience with TCP/IP protocol communications.
  • Broad of Cisco’s product portfolio.
  • Broad knowledge of Project Management methodology and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated listening skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership as a mentor by coaching team members and guiding the team in applying sound judgment to effectively resolve challenges
  • Limited supervision; work may be reviewed for direction and strategy.

  • Hybrid working environment while supporting a 24 by 7 Global Network.
