Scope of Role

  • Deliver and continuously improve a comprehensive, patient-centred rehabilitation service involving patients, carers, families, and providers.
  • Provide clinical leadership in Physiotherapy assessment and treatment across cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions.
  • Act as a consultant for complex clinical cases and support multidisciplinary teams.
  • Independently assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans, maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage a specialist caseload using advanced clinical knowledge and reasoning.
  • Supervise junior staff and therapy assistants.
  • Collaborate with management and healthcare teams to support service development and organisational growth.
  • Lead service improvement initiatives, including audits and quality assurance.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional and legal accountability in line with clinical standards.

  • Oversee the wider rehabilitation team (e.g., Occupational and Speech Therapists).
