About the role

As a Project Engineer at JVB GROUP', you will play a crucial role in the delivery of complex construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This is a full-time position based depending on project location.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing and implementing project plans, schedules and budgets

  2. Coordinating and managing construction activities, including subcontractors and suppliers

  3. Monitoring project progress and identifying and resolving any issues or risks

  4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards

  5. Providing regular updates to the Project Manager and other stakeholders

  6. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

  7. Mentoring and supporting junior members of the construction team

What we're looking for
  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required

  2. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry with large manufacturing facilities construction sites preferred

  3. Strong project management and problem-solving skills

  4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

  5. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials and equipment

  6. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

  7. Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget

  8. Familiarity with construction software (e.g. AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project)
