Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in WP.

Kuala

Lumpur for a Sales Application Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying customer needs, providing technical solutions, liaising with clients, conducting product demonstrations, and supporting the sales team. The role involves delivering technical support, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring that customers receive excellent service throughout the sales cycle. The role requires working closely with various departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead sales and marketing initiatives in Malaysia for MSI Technologies’ range of analytical instruments, imaging systems, and industrial solutions.
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, networking, and regular customer engagement.
  • Conduct pre- and post-sales activities, as well as technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application support for customers.
  • Collaborate closely with principals, product specialists, and internal engineering teams to develop customised solutions and resolve technical / application challenges.
  • Consistently meeting assigned sales targets.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronic/Computer/Chemical Engineering, or Applied Sciences (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science) or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–3 years of experience in technical sales, analytical instrumentation or industrial sectors will have an added advantage.
  • Strong interest in analytical instruments, computer and industrial technology solutions.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
  • Possess a valid driving license and own transport.
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia and occasionally overseas.
