Purpose of Role : As a Senior Controlling Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of monthly financial reporting and for conducting thorough analyses of our industrial operations’ profitability and efficiency. In this role, you will serve as a key Business Partner to cross-functional teams, providing accurate financial insights, clear analysis and actionable recommendations to support performance management and cost-optimisation initiatives.

This role requires strong technical expertise, a continuous improvement mindset, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to drive outcomes independently and collaboratively.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ KEY ACTIVITIES

Month End Close and Reporting:
  • Manage and support the month end close together with India Finance team to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Preparation of accrual workings for designated expense categories
  • Work with stakeholders to improve the quality and timeliness of inputs provided for book closure
  • Complete monthly routines and P&L reporting packs for Regional submission
  • Prepare required schedules and documentation for external audits
Manufacturing Controlling and Costing:
  • Analysis of Manufacturing variances and provide clear actionable insight
  • Prepare and communicate cost analyses and Saving Plan results, highlighting key variances and corrective actions
  • Execute price and cost updates in SAP and maintain Price Lists
  • Monitor moving average prices, investigating anomalies ad needed
  • Review Bill of Material updates and monitor stock write-offs
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Support the preparation of the Annual Budget and Rolling Forecast
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide insights for forecast updates
CAPEX
  • Track Capex ROI and monitor spending against plan
Business Partnering:
  • Partner closely with manufacturing teams, providing financial insights and advisory support to achieve targets
Continuous Improvement and Digitalisation:
  • Document and maintain of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or Business Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or CPA) is an advantage
Experience :
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a controlling and business partnering within a Manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG
  • Proven experience managing month-end P&L close, Excel templates and in SAP use
  • Experience driving change and process improvements
Competency :
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of financial and cost accounting principles and practices, ideally within a factory setting.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and able to manage multiple data sources
  • Familiarity with Data Visualisation tools (eg: Power BI) and automation tools is an advantage
  • Resourceful and adaptable with good learning agility
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively to drive outcomes
  • Effective at managing multiple datelines
