Your ‘day to day’ Oversee the product quality of external partner in design and manufacturing. Ensure all sourced products deliver the best-in-class electronic consumer experience in terms of quality, performance & reliability. Ensure quality is built into the product by effective usage of all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools in the early phase of product development.

  • Develop quality protocols and maintain world-class levels Quality Engineering in all product design and manufacturing processes. Provide directional guidance during Design, DFMEA, PFMEA and Control Plan reviews. Ensure Lessons Learnt have been incorporated.
  • Develop rational quality protocol for Design & manufacturing partners to maximize quality and minimize costs. Conduct risk assessments in product, testing and manufacturing process through the NPI process ensuring quality is built into the product by design
  • Early engagement in development phases to identity technical challenges, drive DFMEA and/or PFMEA methodologies, develop control plans, deploy control plans ranging from the design phase over to the manufacturing processes qualification through the product development life cycle
  • Ensure suppliers apply quality and reliability standards by studying product requirements, cascading down the requirements into product/process design, control strategy to achieve zero field return.
  • Lead the optimization and qualification of the manufacturing systems using statistical tools. Apply 6 Sigma methodologies (DFSS) to ensure the highest process quality, cost and efficiency levels
  • Bridge PMI QMS system with suppliers' system. Prepare high level executive summaries to management, reporting key supplier performance and quality challenges. Act as the leader in managing quality crisis and drive for resolution with minimum business disruption
  • Evaluate and deploy engineering solutions that continuously improve device design and assembly quality.
  • Carry out all the activities ensuring that PMI QMS, standards, and best practices are fully respected, integrated and understood by stakeholders.
Who We’re Looking For
  • BSc degree in Engineering or equivalents.
  • 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a consumer electronics and a multinational environment
  • Good command of English is a must
  • Functional expertise required in line with functional scope, must include: expertise across quality tools and methodologies (APQP/DRBFM, Risk Assessment, Failure Mode Analysis, 8D, CAPA). Experience in managing the principles set out in QMS Standard ISO9001, knowledge of ISO13485 (medical device) or ISO 16949 (automotive) is a plus.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of product and process design, validation and qualification, as well as product development engineering processes working with R&D and engineering teams to deliver solutions for consistent high quality standards of device final assembly and test processes (FATP), for high volume manufacturing in consumer electronics
  • Comfort around higher management and senior technical experts is desirable.
  • Ability to network and influence at every organizational level, internally and externally
