Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Executive, based in Cyberjaya. The Finance Executive will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with local Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations, and performing financial analysis to optimize decision-making. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams to maintain accuracy and transparency in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
● Manage full AR cycle including invoicing, collections, and cash application
● Generate and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner
● Monitor incoming payments and follow up on overdue accounts
● Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
● Maintain accurate AR records and documentation
- Collections & Credit Control
● Proactively follow up with customers on outstanding balances
● Assess customer creditworthiness and manage credit limits
● Prepare and review AR aging reports
● Escalate high-risk or overdue accounts when necessary
- Cash Flow & Reporting
● Support cash flow monitoring by tracking receivables
● Prepare AR reports, forecasts, and analysis for management Assist in month-end closing related to AR functions
● Ensure proper revenue recognition and recording
- Compliance & Process Improvement
● Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
● Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation
● Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and efficiency
- Taxation & Compliance
● Support corporate tax activities, including basic cross-border transactions and withholding tax matters
● Assist in ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax regulations and relevant international requirements
● Work with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and reporting
- Financial Reporting & Accounting
● Handling full set of accounts (including journal entries, general ledger and reconciliations)
● Maintain accurate accounting records and timely financial entries
● Process vendor payments, staff claims, and petty cash
● Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
● Support statutory audits, tax submissions, and regulatory compliance
Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
● Able to speak and write English
● Basic knowledge of invoicing, cash flow management, and financial reporting
● Experience in AR or credit control roles
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, SQL, or equivalent)
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
● Good communication and interpersonal skills
